Play Doh Valentines

Last year after Valentine's I picked up a pack of these cute tubs of Valentines Play Doh on clearance. They came with little to/from stickers but I wanted to make them just a little bit cuter. I created a bag topper that says, "You make me feel "squishy" inside and put a couple in a snack size ziplocks.

front
back

Much cuter!  You can download the bag toppers HERE if you want to make your own.

You could also make some homemade play dough if you don't want to buy any.  We made this one a couple years ago and the kids loved it!

Valentine's Traditions

I think Valentine's Day is one of my favorite holidays.  There's just something about red and pink and heart-shaped everything that makes my heart happy!  And I definitely go all out with the kids in celebrating and decorating.  I thought I'd share a few of our fun Valentine's Day traditions from last year.

We started off the morning with pink cinnamon rolls and strawberry milk, specifically requested by Cailyn. Then we made some Valentine cards ...
and some cookies that we later delivered to Grandma.

Then it was time for lunch.

We took some pictures for Daddy's gift.
And set the table for our yummy fondue dinner.

Stay tuned for more fun Valentine activities to do with your kids and some cute decor and craft ideas!

Fun Shaped Bread

I wanted to do something fun and different for Valentine's other than just making cookies or cupcakes. Buff has these great bread tubes from The Pampered Chef

*You can not buy them on their website anymore, but you can get these ones on Amazon  (the reviews say they are just like the Pampered Chef ones!):

Norpro 3 Piece Canape Bread Mold Set

You just make any bread you want and put it into the tins and bake as normal! They are so fun and my kids love the different shapes!

My family LOVES Maori bread, its a traditional bread made in New Zealand, so we make it all the time. The only thing I did different was add some red food coloring for Valentine's! They turned out really cute!

The star shape would be fun to do for the Fourth of July in red, white and blue!

The flower shape would be great for Easter in cute pastel colors!

* I used an empty, cleaned out can of corn to make the circle shape
